OUR Projects
Project 001: Soacha, Colombia
Soacha knows what it means to be overlooked.
A city shaped by displacement, poverty and the wounds of Colombia’s armed conflict. A place where families have carried loss, but children still carry hope.
Today, in this community, the need is visible. The ground is there. The kids are there. The desire is there. What’s missing is the investment to build what they deserve.
Heart in the Paint is launching its first official build in Soacha: a hybrid soccer-basketball court created with the people who will use it.
A place for movement, expression, pride, and belonging. Bringing dignity to a real site, with a real community, ready for action.
How It Works
Phase 1 - Build the court
Create the foundation for long-term use.
Rebuild the concrete and court infrastructure
Add drainage so the court does not flood when it rains
Create a safe playing surface
Install soccer goals and basketball hoops
Add fencing and boundary structure
Build seating for players, families, and spectators
Add foliage and greenery to create an oasis-like environment
Phase 2 - Equip & Activate
Give the community the tools to use the space
Provide sports equipment and kits to kids
Support organized play and youth programming
Launch tournaments and community games
Phase 3- Sustain the Impact
Turn the court into a lasting community platform
Add community-led art elements
Host a launch event and youth activation
Provide ongoing clinics and workshops
Document the stories and impact over time
